We here at Cardinal Acupuncture have several suggestion for maintaining
health. Even though most people believe that they are getting the
vitamins and mineral that they need from their food source, most are
not. It is our belief that most disease is caused by some sort of
nutritional deficiency, and the best way to correct the deficiency is
through eating a variety of wholesome, preferably organic foods. so here
are a few other suggestions.
- Eat fresh organic, locally
grown fruits and vegetables
- Eat a low grain diet-best
grains are brown rice, quinoa, millet, buckwheat- these are gluten
free
- Organic- pasture fed- meats
and eggs
- Fresh wild harvested fish
- Sea vegetables, celtic sea
salt
- Beans-except soy-peas and
lintels
- Raw nuts and seeds
- Raw organic wheat germ e.g.
Bob's or naturfresh
We also suggest that if you are
taking supplement and vitamins that are synthetic and petroleum based-
we suggest you stop taking them. There have been several studies that
show taking these vitamins are actually more harmful to you than not
taking them. These include almost all drug store and grocery store
brands of vitamins.
When an isolated nutrient is ingested, most of it is rushed through the
circulation and flushed out through the kidneys because the body does
not recognize it as food, but rather as something foreign. Any remaining
amounts of these isolated nutrients in the body must be processed. The
body may try to use a fraction or synthetic by reassembling it with the
parts of its otherwise natural complex in order to use it metabolically.
In doing this, it may deplete the body of stores of important nutrients.
And the effects are usually pharmacological in nature-stimulating,
suppressing, or interfering with some biological function. Judith A.

We use standard process here,
which is an organic food supplement and recommend these products as a
baseline for prevention of disease and to maintain wellness
- Catalyn- 6 per day
- Calcium lactate powder- 1
tbs. per day
- Trace minerals-B12 - 1-2 per
day
- Tuna Omega 3 Oil- 4 per day
- All woman should take 1 tbs.
of flaxseed oil per day
We also recommend that you try to avoid these food and additives all
altogether.
- Pasteurized foods and
homogenized dairy
- Refined white flours and
grains
- High fructose corn syrup
- Aspartame and other
artificial sweeteners
- Hydrogenated oils
- Non fermented soil
- Refined sugar foods (e.g.
Soda, Candy, Pastries)
